Hi, I'm Sarah.

How It All Began

Brushstrokes & Timber began as a personal DIY journey. I started transforming walls in my own home and sharing the process online. As my community grew, followers began requesting my work in their homes. What began as Savage DIY Mom evolved into a full-time  business — and ultimately into Brushstrokes & Timber.


I personally design, build, and paint each project, blending artistry with craftsmanship to make spaces intentional, beautiful, and livable. After 3.5 years and hundreds of projects, I’ve become known for attention to detail, creativity, and a client experience that feels as good as the finished result.

I also love teaching and empowering homeowners. Through my Tips & How-Tos content on Instagram, I share DIY education, painting techniques, and home improvement guidance to help others feel confident tackling projects... or knowing when to call in a professional.
