Hi, I’m Sarah.

I’ve loved art and DIY projects for as long as I can remember. What started as transforming my own home under the name Savage DIY Mom quickly turned into something more after sharing my projects online and hearing, “You NEED to do this for other people!” As my work grew, I rebranded to Brushstrokes & Timber—a name that reflects the custom accent walls, murals, and handcrafted wood details I create today.

For the past 3.5 years, I’ve partnered with homeowners, interior designers, and local businesses to create intentional, high-impact spaces that blend beauty and function—like statement walls that also solve real-life needs. Nothing means more to me than a 5-star review, a referral, or being invited back for another project.

When I’m not transforming walls, I’m at home with my husband of over 20 years—my best friend—and our four kids: one daughter in high school and three boys, including a busy teenager and two energetic elementary schoolers.   

Every project is personal, and my goal is always the same: to create spaces that feel warm, thoughtful, and uniquely yours.
