Hi, I’m Sarah! The heart and hands behind Brushstrokes & Timber.
I started out as a DIY’er, transforming walls in my own home and sharing the process online. The encouragement from my community was incredible, and before long, followers began asking me to bring that same creativity into their spaces. What began as “Savage DIY Mom” quickly grew into a full-time business, and after three years of designing walls for clients, I knew it was time for a name that truly reflected the professional I’ve become.
Today, I create custom wooden accent walls, hand painted murals, and interior wall painting that transforms ordinary rooms into statement spaces. Based in Savage, Minnesota, I proudly serve homeowners throughout the surrounding area.
I believe a single wall can change the energy of a room. My goal is to design walls that feel personal, cozy, and uniquely you. Beyond being an artist and designer, I’m also a mom of four, a lifelong DIYer at heart, and now a seasoned professional who knows how to turn a blank wall into something magical.
